Adopt-A-Youth Christmas Backpack Program – Meet our youth

Our Adopt-A-Youth Backpack Program is back this year! In addition to our much loved Christmas Backpack Program, we are excited to continue to connect our community personally and directly with youth who call The Refuge home by offering our Adopt-A-Youth Backpack Program.

Last year there were 22 young people who chose to participate and all were ‘adopted’ by people like you! We witnessed many tears of joy and gratitude from the youth as they read their personal card and opened a thoughtful gift selected especially for them.

In the beginning of November this page will feature youth who are hoping to be ‘adopted’ this Christmas. You will be able to share in their 2026 Year In Review reflections, have the opportunity to bless them with words of encouragement, and gift them with something special from their Christmas wish list. This is a meaningful way to get involved with The Refuge community in a more personal way.

To participate in the Adopt-A-Youth Backpack Program
1) Read through our featured youths profiles
2) Select the youth you would like to ‘adopt’
3) Fill out the registration form
4) Upon registration you will receive a Christmas Backpack Kit which includes a package with all of the information you need to assist you in putting together your gift
