Gifts of Dignity

Dignity is something we often take for granted. The simple dignity of keeping yourself clean and smelling good is not something that we often ponder. However, if you are living on the streets or in substandard living conditions it does not take long before dirt and sweat become embeded into your clothing, skin and hair. For some there is no place that they can take a shower. For others, after rent is paid, there is little left over to do laundry or purchase personal hygiene products. The Refuge affirms the God-given dignity of every individual that comes through our doors by providing shower facilities, laundry machines (including laundry detergent and fabric softener) and personal hygiene products for adults and infants.
